The Desolate Watch was established in response to the increasing threats from the Scarlet Crusade, the encroaching forces of Gilneas, and the Alliance’s relentless pursuit of dominance in the region. The Watch’s primary mission was to reinforce the Forsaken’s presence in Silverpine and secure their borders against these formidable enemies.
Pyrewood Village, once a vibrant human settlement, had been left in ruins following the Cataclysm and the subsequent wars. The Desolate Watch was tasked with the monumental responsibility of rebuilding this town. Under the command of the High Executor, the Watch began the arduous process of restoring Pyrewood, aiming to transform it into a fortified and “lively” community reflective of Forsaken resilience.
